Ludwig's Pressure Cooker is:

Dave Scott Ewers - Drums

David Scott Ewers started out as a teenage runaway/singer in 1980s Greater Los Angeles. He was inspired to play drums after seeing The Beatnigs at the York Theatre in 1989. Mr. James Brown once told David that they should make a Western together (David and the Godfather). David is still waiting for Mr. Brown’s people to fax his people. David believes that Topper Headon’s stock remains seriously undervalued. He similarly urges ‘buys’ for Rey Washam and Viv Prince, and ‘holds’ for Albert “June” Gardner, Rat Scabies, and George “Hurricane” Hurley.

Billy G - Keyboards

Billy G's passion for music sparked as a pre-teen after attending a concert in Central Park done by some guy wearing a Donald Duck costume. In the 80's, he was working at a recording studio in Washington D.C., and later joined a Salt Lake City reggae band, teaching himself reggae rhythms on a $40 Vox Jaguar organ. His career evolved to include producing records, managing tours, and running an independent label.

George Ludwig - Bass

As a child, George learned to play piano from a Catholic nun in a convent. As a teenager, when his older brother's rock band needed a bass player, George found a new religion: music! Later, after earning his BA in writing, he spent years of his 20's in the 80's, touring the US in a DIY Avant-Pop band. He's since become a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. George is currently studying songwriting through the Berklee College Of Music. For George, playing in Ludwig's Pressure Cooker is a return to his first love - the bass!

John Stanley - Guitar

John Stanley, originally from Pomona, California, has been active in the San Francisco music scene since 1988. Over the years, he has played with many groups, including The Gels, Gasoline, Worry Dolls, Lemurs, ClodHopper, Danny Pearson, Filterbubble, Church of Tommy, and Macerator. John's guitar influences are diverse and have evolved over time. Currently, his top inspirations include Jeff Beck, Jimmy Nolen, Danny Gatton, and Roy Buchanan.
